clever girl

Things are rolling smooth, as they can. I am almost complete with one project: making my dvds for my last film. ALMOST. It's so close to being finished. I'm on the DVD pressing stage, I just need to find a good company for the task. Know of a good one? Let me know! I'm still looking.

On a side note: I've started another project. This is one I've been meaning to do ever since I came across the image. I think I am now up to the challenge. A little background info: it was a crisp, wet, chilly, Saturday morning. I was out and about helping on a film shoot and was in the middle of either gathering equipment for the day or returning equipment for the day, since a film shoot runs on its own schedule you can't ever really keep track. Waiting around for a bit, my ever wondering eyes came upon a tiny speck on the wall. I approached it. As I neared it, I felt my eyes were playing tricks on me (Saturday morning, remember). But no! It was and is what it is today. A sticker. With a woman driving a jeep, with a rather anxious look on her face. And a chimp holding onto her. Underneath the image are the words:

Unhurt but frightened.

I snagged it and have kept it in my wallet ever since. It was a little worn, so I made a note of attempting to 'fix it up' as it is quite an amusing image. I'm under the impression that it is an image from a Tarzan comic book. Anyhow, here is how it currently looks:

SO, we'll see how well of a job I can do. Of course, I need to finish up my Paris set and that film strip set, WHICH, I believe will actually take some time as it is a bit tricky. It might end up first as a short film, as that has me excited a bit more than just stills.

one day into one week into one...

Many things happen, mostly me playing adult and trying to find some sure footing with the finances and works and the projects and the personal life and the private life and the fun life and the serious life and the love life and the sad life. I should consolidate some of those, maybe all. I have pictures, honest, here's one:

See? I've figured out that, due to my long work days and want of chill evenings, I can't update much in the way of projects during the week but on the weekends. At least, that's what I'm going to try to stick to. And just as a heads up, my next project, which I mentioned in my last post (kinda, sorta) will involve a reel of film(s) that I managed to save. What do these reels pertain to? WELL, I'll leave you with this image to contemplate over:

Also, I'm still tweaking the design of this site, it's not unified as of yet. I'll figure it out, and once I do, I will change it again to something else.

super

Today in this country of mine, many are watching a game of football. I, on the other hand, will play video games and continue working on some new scans. I'm experimenting again with what I can do with my scanner, a Canon 600 Lide, which I have grown fond of. I also came across an interesting post online of a man who modified his scanner to be used as a, well, a camera. It has me thinking and I am certain I am close to figuring out something rather cool to do with mine. I might use some prisms or lens for what I am thinking, but baby steps first. Scans will be up tomorrow or so I claim.
